Fiat S.p.A. stands for Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino. So it doesn’t need much explanation that the brand was founded in Turin. This was done in 1899 by an investment group including Giovanni Agnelli. For more than a hundred years Fiat was a supplier of engines for trains, military vehicles, tractors, and airplanes. Fiat is also the name of the umbrella sheet that includes Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ferrari, Maserati, and Chrylser sleepers.
